MG began as Morris Garages in Oxford in the 1920s and became known for affordable British sports cars such as the MGA, MGB and Midget. After MG Rover collapsed in 2005 the brand passed to Chinese ownership, and today SAIC Motor builds its SUVs, hatchbacks and electric cars.
